Our story

Golf found us—and gave us time together.

Lucky Birdie began with a father, his daughters, and the realization that the best part of golf is rarely just the score.

I did not grow up playing golf. I found the game in my forties, through my daughters.

My oldest daughter, Joyce, started learning when she was eleven. At first, I was simply her driver—the dad taking her to practice, following her to tournaments, and waiting beside the course.

Then my younger daughter fell in love with golf when she was eight. She loved playing, but competition was another story. “It’s too stressful,” she would tell me.

I understood. Somewhere along the way, I had fallen in love with the game too—not only with the score, but with everything around it: early mornings, long conversations, quiet walks, laughter, and those rare moments when everything comes together.

Years later, near a golf course in Northern California, I came across the words Lucky Birdie. The name stayed with me.

A birdie is one of golf’s small, beautiful victories. It may not happen often, but when it does, it changes the feeling of the entire round.

That is how life feels, too. We all need a little luck—a moment of joy, and a reminder that something good can happen on the very next hole.

Lucky Birdie is our celebration of the game and the good life around it: thoughtfully designed golf goods made for families, friends, everyday players, and everyone who keeps coming back for the feeling.

No one can refuse a lucky birdie.
